It's goal-setting time! Mrs. Lauer's students put their one-word goal for the semester onto an index card to make up this inspiring bulletin board. If you come to the school for any of the upcoming games, stop by the FACS room and check it out! Parents, ask your student what there goal is for the semester and see if you can find it on the board.

The kindergarten students have been working on making vertical and horizontal lines. Today we introduced making a circle! We used shaving cream and paintbrushes instead of our typical pencil and paper! We were lucky to have Mrs. Bender stop in! She tested their new skills by playing a few games of tick-tack-toe! Challenge your student and play a few games at home!
Some questions to ask your student:
1. Can you show me a horizontal and vertical lines with your arms?
2. Can you show me how you make your circles? (Make sure they start from the top!)

Get your 2024 CMC Cougars Homecoming apparel!! Deadline: September 10th at 11:59pm.

Say Yes to FCS! Mrs. Lauer’s classes got a taste of what Family and Consumer Science Education has to offer. Students hopped from station to station trying their hands at attaching a button (sewing), tying a neck tie (business & career prep), making Ritz & Rolo sandwiches (food & nutrition), building a house of cards (interior design), and guessing the celebrity baby picture (child development). Ask your student what their favorite station was and why.

We love our reading buddies!
