Check out the sixth grade "Weather in a Box" projects!  Ask your children what kind of weather they tried to sell to their classmates and whether or not they were successful.  Also, ask why they chose that particular weather.

The Kindergarten class has been learning about blending syllables. We spent a few days practicing in the classroom using our hand motions. Then they learned a game similar to "Duck, Duck, Goose." The student who was "it" was given the word, i.e. Sunshine, and then they went around the circle tapping classmates' heads and alternating between the word parts, "sun" and "shine." When they wanted to choose someone else to be "it" they would tap a classmate's head and say the blended word "sunshine." Having such a small group didn't make for a large circle so we invited our first-grade friends to come and play with us! Some questions to ask your students: What hand motions do you use to blend syllables? Can you blend these word parts? cup........cake snow...........flake rain.......bow out..........side

It's goal-setting time! Mrs. Lauer's students put their one-word goal for the semester onto an index card to make up this inspiring bulletin board. If you come to the school for any of the upcoming games, stop by the FACS room and check it out! Parents, ask your student what there goal is for the semester and see if you can find it on the board.
